I bought a set of Oracle cards at Wanderlust Stratton yoga festival back in the summer of 2018. This was the BEST yogafest I have ever been to. I would say that it was a life changing event for me. One of the reason’s for the change was the oracle cards. I was perusing a jewelry vendor’s table and she asked if I wanted her to pull an oracle card for me. I said, “Sure…why not?”
Beautiful Artwork
The artwork on the deck is absolutely beautiful. It is by artist Nadine Gordon Taylor who lives in Peekskill, NY. The cards she pulled had butterflies on it and it spoke of being at a crossroads in life and being ready for a change. It truly spoke to me. I got home from the yogafest and, unfortunately, life happens and the box of cards went back on the shelf.
Messages
Fast forward 4 years. I had a tough year at school (I’m a teacher) and I was feeling burnt out. I knew that I needed a change. My husband and I have been debating retirement even though we’re not that old. He is also burnt out is his job. I decided to turn back to my oracle cards. I read in the book that comes with them that you should ask them what the energy is around a particular subject so I saged them and asked them what the energy was around moving.
They came back with a resounding YES! It could not have been more clear that it is something that it is a good idea. That really put my uncertainty to rest. I’m not saying that the cards tell me every step to take in life, but when you get such a positive message in favor, it reassures your choice.
When I was contemplating doing Yoga Teacher Training, I again saged my cards and asked them the energy around YTT. This was the card that I pulled:

This was the description and message:
Wow! Another resounding YES, as I see it. “You are changing.” “Metamorphosis.” “Creative endeavors.” I see all of these as supportive phrases for doing my YTT. I’m sure you can and will read whatever you want from the cards, but I look as this as positive energy supporting my decisions so I will continue to use the cards to seek validation and messages.
