This post is a bit of a continuation of my last post about oracle cards. I saw a graphic on social media about having a morning ritual. The words and pictures really spoke to me so I used the graphic and some ideas from a book I am reading to make my own morning ritual and an image to go with it.
Pull an Oracle Card for Daily Guidance
I have started to do this every morning and I really love it. When I read the card, I use part of what it says on the card as my intention for the day. The cards I have also have an affirmation written right on them.
Meditate for 5-20 Minutes
I have the Peloton app, which has 5, 10, 15 and 20 minute meditations on it. They are perfect for this part of the morning ritual. I also love the podcast Meditation Minis with Chel Hamilton. You can find it for free on Apple podcasts.
Send a Peaceful Thought to Someone
I LOVE this step, which I just added. Send a peaceful thought at breakfast, lunch and dinner to anyone you feel needs it or someone you or thinking about. I got this ideas from the book True Yoga by Jennie Lee. It is so easy and also brings peace to yourself.
Light a Candle or Incense
This should actually be at the top of the list. I had a bunch of incense cones that I haven’t used in quite a while. They burn for the perfect amount of time and are very soothing while you do your meditation. Candles are also a great idea.
Choose a Positive Affirmation
As I said, my oracle cards have an affirmation on each card. I have started collecting positive affirmations on this Pinterest board if you need some ideas. Think about this affirmation and repeat it to yourself during the day.
Journal Your Intention of the Day
As I said above, I set my intention using cues from the oracle card I pulled. You can set any intention you feel works for you. I also have intentions on the Pinterest board mentioned above. I journal my affirmation and intention because writing things out, for me, makes things stick in my mind more.
Visualize Your Day Unfolding
This can be really helpful, especially if something is coming up during the day that is making you anxious or something you aren’t looking forward to. You can talk yourself through it and think of the best and worst scenarios. The worst scenarios usually aren’t as bad when you can talk yourself through them before hand. You can even think of solutions to issues that may come from the worst case scenarios. It may sound like it would increase your anxiety, but it really doesn’t. It is quite comforting.

Sounds like you have a great morning ritual. It is a great way to start your day positively.
These sound like great morning rituals, and easy enough to motivate myself into doing with some consistency!
Yes! Consistency is so important.
I think this is the best way to start the day with a good energy! I would add an outdoor workout!
Yoga outside would be perfect!
