My YTT Journey – Yoga Teacher Training

Posted on July 22, 2022July 22, 2022 By Kim 45 Comments on My YTT Journey – Yoga Teacher Training
Yoga

It’s been far too long…do you see a pattern here? I’m not sure why I step away from this blog when I enjoy creating it so much. There has been a change of blog name, and a bit of a focus change, but still sharing important information. Last weekend, I went to a yoga festival…another thing that I had been away from for far too long. I thoroughly enjoyed the second day over the first and I felt inspired and awakened to the beauty of yoga, so I decided to start Yoga Teacher Training.

Online YTT Training

YTT (Yoga Teacher Training) can be a huge financial and time investment. It is not for the faint of heart and you have to be committed to the process. I was scrolling through Instagram and I found Yoga Renew Teacher Training. (affiliate link) So glad that I clicked on the more information button. It is very affordable and gives you just as great YTT as any high priced program. I researched it before I signed up and it is a legit training program so don’t let the price tag deter you.

Great Communication

I have emailed the program several times about various questions and they get back to me quickly and politely. I get positive vibes whenever I communicate with them. They also offer Zoom meetings, a private Facebook group as well as a plethora of resources and support.

I have just started the coursework so I don’t have a lot of information on the course load. You can get a free syllabus before you sign up to see what it’s all about and what the expectations are. I can’t say enough good things about this program.

Yin Yoga Certification

In addition to the 200 hour YTT, I also signed up for the Yin Yoga certification because that is the type of yoga that I would like to teach. I feel that this training will not just help me learn to teach yoga, but will help me live a more yoga lifestyle. There is so much positivity and inner reflection. I have always been a lifelong learner and I am looking forward to this entire journey.

What would you want to pursue for your lifelong learning journey?

I think yoga is wonderful. I have done it a little bit here and there. I would like to try to actually start yoga and do it more often though.

I really need to try Yoga. I’ve got back/hip issues and stretching would be helpful.

Absolutely nothing wrong with taking some time off blogging for any reason, but especially for one like this where you’re pursuing your passions and it’s a plus that the end result is lucrative! I wish you much success in both your career as a YTT and with your blog!!

Kim, thank you for sharing your Yoga journey. I have never done yoga. I have seen it in action in online videos. I read of the many health benefits of doing yoga. However, it seems like Yoga is marketed to only the female demographic. However, It has become very increasingly popular, especially here in NYC; there are yoga studios popping up all over the city. I have even seen people doing yoga in the park. All the best with your yoga certifications.

Kevin – Yoga is very accepting of all people so go out there and find a class if it appeals to you! Do what brings you joy! Have a great day.
