I know that you have been sitting on the edge of your seat, waiting for my yoga journey update. I am sorry that it’s been so long. You can now carry on with your life because the update is here. LOL!!
yoga mat
1 – I absolutely love my Yohola cork yoga mat (affiliate link). There is nothing that I don’t like about this mat. It is slip free and I mean NO slipping whatsoever. Mine has beautiful watercolor designs, which I absolutely love. They are made in SC, USA. I can’t say enough about them. I actually have 2 now; one that I leave at home and one that I take to the studio. I own both of the Aura mats.
slow flow
2 – Slow flow is my jam. I haven’t tried an all levels flow, but I love my slow flow and Yin classes. Add essential oils and it is heaven!!
yoga with adriene
3 – Yoga with Adriene is the bomb-diggity of online yoga classes. Her videos are what got me started in yoga. I met her at Wanderlust in Boston and she was the sweetest soul with the best energy. I can’t say enough about her. She is currently doing a yoga tour called Find What Feels Good. Love, love, love her!! One of the best steps on my yoga journey.
yoga studio
4 – I thought that I would be practicing yoga at home forever. I then got a job as the social media liaison for a local yoga studio and my payment is unlimited yoga classes. I am so glad that I put myself out there and started to do studio classes because I LOVE it and I’ve met a lot of great people. Starting my practice at home and getting comfortable was key to my success at the studio.
a never-ending journey
5 – A yoga journey NEVER ends. You will always be on a path of learning, growing, strengthening and discovering. That is one of the things that I love about it because even though it is an ancient practice, I am learning and discovering new things every time I hit the mat.
Have you gone an a yoga journey?
Yoga has always interested me. I tried a cd one time and that didn’t work out. Continue success with your yoga journey.
Thank you Candy:)
This is awesome. I’m loving your journey. I have been thinking about yoga for a long time. I need to check out the online classes.
Check out Yoga with Adriene…you will LOVE her.
Hi Kim!!
I LOVE this blog!
I have been doing yoga on and off over the years, but this summer I started doing it faithfully every day. What a tremendous difference it has made for some health issues I was facing and I can’t imagine a day without yoga! Thanks for the recommendation for a non-slip yoga mat-I placed my order!
Keep blogging and I will keep reading!
MISSY!!!! So glad you like it!!! I LOVE yoga. I’m actually doing the social media for a local yoga studio and I get free yoga in exchange for my work. We should do a retreat some time!!! xxoo
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, my cork yoga mat! Thanks for the recommendation! A retreat sounds fun, maybe in the spring?? XOXO
I am so glad!!! YES…yoga retreat in the spring. There is event called Wanderlust which is going to be in VT in June. I really want to go so maybe we could do that. We could even meet for a class half way between us before then. There are tons of offerings on Groupon and Mindbody:)
I just recently started a beginners yoga. I’m pretty out of shape, but am feeling the benefits already.
The more you do it, the more it will benefit you.
Sounds like you’re really enjoying your journey through yoga. Just like everything else it takes a while to get started.
LOVE my yoga
This sounds amazing, a real non-slip mat is what I’ve been looking for! I haven’t tried yoga in a studio yet, I’m so nervous!
Try a Yohola…you’ll love it
Unlimited yoga classes sound amazing! I have always liked yoga as a form of exercise, it’s really calming and relaxing.
Yoga can be a workout, but I love the calming and mindfulness benefits the best.
I always think about trying Yoga, but then I never do. It sounds like you are really enjoying it. Maybe I will start doing it once it gets colder and I won’t want to go outside and do anything. haha.
Give it a try at home first…Yoga with Adriene is the BEST
Unlimited yoga classes? You are LUCKY!!! I used to go to hot yoga when I lived in the city! When I was home, I would practice in my room. I do miss it.
that is one thing I cannot do…hot yoga…warm is my limit:)
Yoga is one of my favorite workouts. I do Yoga at home, usually at night before I go to sleep.
It definitely helps you sleep soundly
I think it’s awesome that you get paid in yoga classes. So cool that with yoga there are so many paths!
I love it:)
I have often thought of trying yoga, but just haven’t. I need to find a good you tube and try at home before joining a class. Thanks for the inspiration.
Try Yoga with Adriene…you’ll love her
That yoga mat is stunning! I’ve never seen one like it before! I can’t believe you met Adriene! I am a big fan of Yoga with Adriene, and as soon as I’m cleared to work out again (six weeks after giving birth, which is in only a few days) I’m going to start yoga once more.
Adriene is the BEST!!!!
So excited for you and your yoga journey! I am a huge fan of Yoga with Adriene too! 🙂
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Adriene!!!
Ah, yoga is amazing! I’m glad that you’re enjoying the journey! When I started out I did a lot of Yoga with Adriene videos! She’s a great teacher to learn from.
Adriene is THE best!!!
So awesome that you get paid in yoga classes! I’ve been on the fence about taking a class for so long because I’m just not sure what will be the right fit. I keep going back and forth. Hopefully I get to a class one of these days!
Check Groupon or the Mind Body app, they have great deals on Yoga
