Chakra is the Sanskrit word for circular wheels of energy, which are in and around our bodies. The 7 chakras line up in the center of our bodies. Chakras 8 through 12 are connected to the soul, the divine and the cosmos (www.energymuse.com). I am starting with the root chakra muladhara and will then do a post for each of the chakras.

Don’t know anything about different chakras. Good to learn new stuff
Yes it is:)
I don’t know much about this stuff. So I appreciated the thorough information on it!
Thank you Louise
This was an interesting read. I’ve never known anything about chakras outside of hearing the word. Great info.
Thanks Bill
That looks like a great book.
I definitely could use some relaxation and meditation!
Can’t we all:)
I spend a lot of time walking barefoot in the grass and dirt so it’s good to know I have been strengthing my muladhara! Are the essential oils placed on the root chakra like the healing stones are?
If you are feeling the imbalances of the root chakra, you can diffuse those essential oils or use them topically with a carrier oil:)
I am always trying to look about chakra from my youngest son who believes in all of your body’s energy and magic it holds. I loved to read this to learn more.
That’s awesome
I never technically knew what a chakra was. I do feel that being outside in nature and praying helps calm my mind.
Absolutely:)
This is really interesting! I don’t know much about chakras, but I finding it interesting that these are some of the yoga poses I’m good at – wonder if that means anything?
Those are probably your strong chakras!!
I would love to get some more information on all this, I am unfamiliar.
Read Wheel of Life…it’s like the chakra bible
I need to try some of these yoga techniques. I can see how they could help me. That book also looks interesting to me.
Yoga is the BEST and the book is full of information
I had no idea about any of this! So what a wonderful, informative post! I am happy to learn new things, and stuff like this is helpful!
Thanks Jeanine
It’s funny, this is twice in one month that I’ve been told to walk barefoot on the dirt. Perhaps I should give it a try
Yes…I think the universe is trying to tell you something:)
I didn’t know about different chakra. But I will surely check this immediately.
This is great information for anyone interested in learning about the different chakras. I really like that you include a list of activities to strengthen the root chakra.
Thanks Cesar
Wow, this is a really great and informative post. I didn’t know some of these things.
This was very interesting I had never heard of this before. I want to try out yoga and essential oils. I hear they help with migraines.
YES!!! There are also healing crystals that help with migraines
I’ve used essential oils for relaxation before! I would love to try healing stones.
The Crystal Bible and Change Your Energy are great books about healing crystals

I went to a school that was all based on chakras! I love using them!
That sounds so awesome!!!
I’ve heard of the word “chakra” before, but I never really understood the meaning. I also didn’t realize how specific the aspects got. That’s pretty cool. It never occurred to me that walking barefoot or resting my back against a tree would strengthen my chakra!
Absolutely!!!
Thanks for sharing this!
Thank you
