5 Things I am Grateful for this Week

Posted on December 21, 2015August 9, 2022 By Kim 20 Comments on 5 Things I am Grateful for this Week
Love

There is ALWAYS something to be grateful for.  I write 5 things I am grateful for in a journal every night before I go to bed.  I think over my day and can always find at least 5, sometimes more, things that are a blessing.  It is the little things in life that add up to the big things.  Many of the things we take for granted are things others hope and pray for.  Make gratitude part of every day and it will put you into a great frame of mind.  It doesn’t have to be anything deep or earth shattering.  Just think of things that make you happy.

1 – They are putting in the ice at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, MA for the Winter Classic.  I am so excited for this game.  We are having unseasonably warm weather here and I’m really hoping for snow.  I know that that may not be a popular wish around here, but I love snow and an outdoor hockey game in the snow is just awesome.

2 – Christmas break starts at 12 noon Wednesday….that is all!!!

3 – Gas prices are the lowest they have been in years…I paid $1.89 9/10 the last time I filled up.

4 – The Patriots secured a first week playoff bye with a win.  I know that some, okay….lots of people dislike the Patriots.  Well…haters gonna hate, but they are my team and I am happy:)

5 – I get to spend time with my family over the holidays….including my dog:)  The best use of my time!!!

What are you grateful for this Christmas week?

Love your list! I personally don’t like the Patriots, but good for you for sticking with them. I hate it when people think I should switch my team, just because they don’t like them or they are having a bad year. Have a wonderful week!

Gas prices, yes they are even pretty okay here in California. I am here from Show Your Blog Love Kim. My week of grateful would be having the comforts that many don’t have. Our family and friends. Merry Christmas

    I love this. 🙂
Taking the time to breathe and be grateful for the little things over the Christmas period is what makes it that much more special.

Great list of gratitudes. Hubby and his brother have an ongoing feud over the Patriots since we live in Texan territory!

I’m greatful that I get time to work on my blog! I have living relationships with my friends and family. I have many resources to rely on. 🙂

They say that if we repeat three things we are greatful for each day then we can improve our quality of life.

Both of us are done for the day 🙂

That’s a great idea. Writing what you are thankful for every night. Sometimes you just need a reminder of the good in your life. Thanks for the tip. I think I will be doing something like this in my journal on those off weeks when I’m highly stressed out.

    Cheers.
    Merry Christmas

I am missing the seasonable weather here in New England…I like to have a chilly Christmas and it is supposed to be in the 60s

I love being able to spend time with my family too. First Christmas without my dog though so that makes me sad. Give your puppy and extra hug for me.

You should come link up at our Bloggers Spotlight party, we pin everything to our group board and have two separate link-ups, one for posts and one devoted to pins so you get even more exposure!

So sorry to hear about your pup:( We lost our previous dog right before Christmas 9 years ago and it seems like yesterday…they really are part of the family.

Expressing gratitude is something I’m trying really hard to bring into my daily routine. I’ve yet to master it, but you’ve reminded me how important it is. I’ll kick off my new regime by saying how grateful I am that you dropped by the blog and took the time to leave me a lovely comment! Thank you Kim x
