5 Great Foods/Snacks that Pack a Protein Punch

Posted on December 16, 2015August 18, 2022 By Kim 44 Comments on 5 Great Foods/Snacks that Pack a Protein Punch
Love

You hear a lot about protein when working out and when you want to add muscle.  From my experience, you feel fuller longer when you have a source of protein in your meal or snack.  It comes in many different forms and I am including some that I think you will love. (This post contains affiliate links, but all the reviews are my own.  I do not get any compensation from any of the products.  I just like to share items that I love and feel others would love too.)

1 – Nuts N More nut butter – This is the yummiest nut butter and it has added protein in it.  I LOVE the toffee peanut butter and they also have almond butter, peanut butter and some other flavored peanut butters.  Tastes great!!

2 – Lenny and Larry’s Muscle Brownies – These are the best tasting brownies out there.  The fact that they are protein packed is just an added extra.  If you love brownies, these will quickly become one of your favorites.

3 – Greek Yogurt – If you like yogurt and haven’t tried Greek yogurt, you need to try it.  It is thicker and more filling than regular yogurt.  Just about every company that makes yogurt has added Greek yogurt to their product line.  I have tried many of the food store brands and they are just as good at a cheaper price.  I especially like Oikos Triple Zero…so yummy.

4 – Flapjacked protein pancake mix – This mix is so yummy and doesn’t have that protein powdery taste.  It tastes just like any good pancake mix.  It comes in different flavors, but I like the buttermilk the best because you can add whatever you like to it…I love bananas or chocolate chips.

5 – Chocolate Cheesecake Pudding – Here is a recipe for chocolate cheesecake pudding…yum.  You can use any type of protein powder.  I personally like vegan protein powder because it doesn’t have that protein powdery taste or smell.  I especially love Shakeology chocolate vegan.  You can use whatever type suits your tastes.

What are your favorite go-to protein foods or snacks??

Greek yogurt is my favorite afternoon snack. I’m very pregnant right now, and having that keeps me from eating every unhealthy thing in our pantry at 4 pm every day!

Have you tried almond butter? The maple almond butter is my favorite. It goes so well in smoothies for an extra protein punch!

I usually add a sprouted grain protein powder to my breakfast smoothies, but these options are great! Especially the toffee peanut butter.

Thanks for providing these suggestions! I definitely think most of us need more protein in our diets. I started incorporating more in my diet about 6 months ago. My favorite protein treats are herbalife cookies and cream protein shakes, greek yogurt and fiber one cookies and cream protein bars.
