Blogging Challenge – Transformation Tuesday

Posted on November 10, 2015August 18, 2022 By Kim 18 Comments on Blogging Challenge – Transformation Tuesday
Love, Salt

Today we needed to re-write a traditional recipe to make it healthier and a little better for you.  I LOVE pasta with meatballs or meat sauce so making it a little lower in carbs and calories is something that I’ve had experience with.  So…without further ado…here is my Zucchini Noodles with Meat Sauce

I love my KitchenAid spiralizer…it is sooooooo easy to make zucchini noodles with this attachment.  I made one small zucchini into spiralized noodles.

I browned ground turkey with salt, pepper and garlic salt.

I steamed the zucchini noodles in a silicone steamer for 2 minutes 15 seconds in the microwave.  Don’t oversteam the zucchini noodles because they will get mushy.

I added tomato sauce and some of the ground turkey to the zucchini noodles and YUM!!!  Way less calories and carbs and just as satisfying.

When you put the sauce and meat in with it, you wouldn’t know it was zucchini

I actually bought a zucchini noodle maker and it’s still in the box…lol. We eat pasta at least once a week and I really need to put it to use.
