Faves and Fails for October

Posted on October 30, 2015 By Kim 24 Comments on Faves and Fails for October

Fortunately, I have a lot more faves than fails for October.  I’ve been trying to be more positive so I’m glad that when I reflect on the month…it’s mostly faves.

FAVES

1-New England Patriots…undefeated…can’t say more than that!!

2-Jimmy Fallon…I LOVE everything he does…even though I never stay up late enough to watch The Tonight Show, I see the skits on Facebook and I laugh out loud.

3-Evil Sugar Radio podcast…love their message.  They are no nonsense about the views on eating and exercise.  They are definitely outside the box thinkers and I really enjoy their banter.

4-My son’s hockey team…okay sorry…shameless personal plug!!!  He’s doing great and I’m so proud of him.

5-The Walking Dead…nuff said

TWD

6-My Kitchen Aid mixer spiralizer attachment…the best kitchen tool EVER!!!!

KA Spiralizer

7-Daisy from Underbite Unite…she will be my fave every month…this dog has a physical handicap, but she is always happy and loving life.

FAILS

1-Substitute for a Barre class I took – I usually go to Pure Barre, which is an excellent work out so when I went to a barre class at a fitness studio and there was a substitute…it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

2-Brownie stuffed Chips Ahoy – in a moment of weakness, I bought these at a 7-11 because they were 80 calories per cookie and I figured they’d last a few days.  They were gross…not worth the calories…they tasted stale and I threw them out.

3-Full moon + Halloween + 21 kindergarten students = the week from hell 🙁  So, Mother Nature…from now on,  could you PLEASE have the full moon in the middle of October…much obliged…Sincerely, all teachers, everywhere.

Why don’t I have a spiralizer tool for my kitchen aid?? Should I add it to my wish list?

You are a Patriot’s fan?! Yessss! I love them so much! It was so fun to watch them trample the Dolphin’s last night! Definitely a favorite of the month for me, too!

I thought you were going to say you tried making brownie stuffed Chips Ahoy. Nope. I really felt your pain when I read they were from 7-11.

What a fun post theme! Glad you had more favs than fails!
The Walking Dead has definitely been good! I didn’t enjoy the new Fear series too much, so when the original TWD came back I felt like it was even more awesome than normal. Sometimes I wish it came out a little earlier though, especially when they make them 90 minute episodes.

Watched FTWD and liked it, but not nearly as much as TWD….no comparison
