7 lessons I’ve learned this year…
1 – Do what makes YOU happy even if it isn’t what others expect of you or approve of.
.
2 – Quality NOT quantity when it comes to friends.
3 – You must do things for yourself and not expect praise or appreciation of others…if that does come, it’s just an added extra.
4 – If you eat junk, you feel like junk.
5 – Appreciate the little things because when you add them up, they become the big things.
6 – Exercise when you feel down or something is bothering you because it will make you feel better.
7 –
I agree about the exercise thing – even on days you don’t feel like it and even if you don’t put your full effort into it, just getting moving and making the attempt often makes such a difference in how you feel the rest of the day. Plus, it’s doing your body good, long-term!
Yesssssss!!!!
All of these hit home, but I couldn’t fit them all into 7 lessons hahaha.
It’s great to recognize these things, so we can feel and live more fulfilling lives. It’s amazing how much we always can learn, but it’s a good thing to grow.
XoXo
I agree…I’ve learned way more than 7 lessons this year:)
Such a beautiful list of life lessons! A perfect recipe to a more happy and fulfilling life, I’m sure 🙂
Thank you Murielle
Excellent words to live by. Even five minutes of exercise can make a huge difference. And everyone can find five minutes. 😉
Thank you Angie
YES! #2 is something I’ve been learning too!
I thought people would be more genuine and supportive as I get older, but it’s not true. I just keep the people close who spark joy…I don’t need the drama queens and fakes around me.
As a Navy wife I am loving that tattoo!
My father was in the Navy so I LOVE anchors. I have another anchor tattoo, but want to get the one in the post. I LOVE the saying most.
There so much wisdom in your words!
Thank you
I love that you have made this list with graphics. They are all great points but I particularly like ‘do something today that your future self will thank you for’.
Thank you Tamuria
LOVE this! Just the inspiration I needed today! Sometimes we have to make tough choices that our future self will appreciate much more than we do now.
Thank you Sandra…glad you were inspired…that’s a huge compliment.
Doing what you want and not what other people want is a lesson that’s hard to learn, but it’s definitely true! Great post!
Thank you Mar
