Made it to the weekend…yessssss!!!! I have been trying a new workout program called the 21 Day Fix and it is no joke. I have done 3 of the workouts: total body cardio, lower body and my favorite so far, the dirty 30. They are all 30 minutes long and they WORK YOU OUT. I did legs 3 days ago and my legs are still sore….a good sore!!! I also LOVE going to Barre classes, which I have been doing for 7-1/2 months. Those classes have definitely made me stronger and it is a great workout. I wanted something else to do the days I don’t go there. These videos are awesome. I have been doing spin, TRX, boxing and barre for 2+ years now and the 21 Day Fix workouts still kick my butt. I can’t wait to see what the other workouts are like. I also like it because every day is different and you work different muscle groups. Stay tuned for my new and improved fitness journey!!!! Thank you for checking in and enjoy the rest of your weekend:)
**Update 8/30/2015: I’ve decided to cut ties with the 21 Day Fix…yes…we are breaking up…cue sad music. I found that the workouts were great, but the instructor just got on my nerves too much. Also, she was very condescending to the woman who was doing the modified exercises in the videos and I cannot tolerate that. I found myself getting aggravated every time I did them so I put the whole thing on Ebay and sold it. I am NOT a quitter, but there are so many more great programs out there, I knew I could find something that I liked better (see my awesome, online workout post). My former personal trainer is opening a gym in a little over a week, so I know that that will become my home away from home PLUS I want to support her because I’m so proud of her. If you are a 21 Day Fixer, I am glad that you found something that works for you and I would never negate a program that others have had success with. It just isn’t the program for me. Best of luck in your fitness journeys!!!

YAY for barre! I loved classes so much, I decided to become an instructor! As for the 21-day fix, I can SO relate! I started doing the workouts but got annoyed as well. Sometimes I still bust them out but it’s not my first choice!
THANK YOU!!! I just couldn’t put up with the annoyance any more…lol. I found Daily Burn online and I really like it. Good for you becoming a Barre instructor!!!!
This made me laugh.. I know exactly what you’re referring to when you say those instructors are annoying. I did p90x (similar to 21DF) and by the end of the 90 days I wanted to scream when they would speak. SO awful!! Try FitnessBlender.com for good at home workouts – the instructors are quiet hahah!
OMG…thank you for validating my feelings…lol. I will definitely check out that site…thanks.
I have been such a quitter on diets. Unfortunately, I have never fully completed a diet :/
Pick one small goal and stick to it and then build from there…maybe your first goal could be drink more water each day…give it a try:)
I learned some pretty good portion control but to be honest, now only use several of the workouts as cross training until I find something else. I personally always loved Jillian Michaels!
LOVE Jillian…my personal fave…thanks Cynthia:)
No shame in quoting something that’s not working for ya! I can’t stand programs or diets :/
Just wasn’t my thang:)
Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. At least you’re going to replace the 21 Day Fix with something else. Thanks for sharing your post at the #AnythingGoes Link Party.
Thanks for having me:)
